  2. advice for failed students cbse icse up board

What advise does NIOS give to students who have failed in CBSE , ICSE or UP Board exams?

The main advantage of passing secondary or senior secondary through NIOS instead of reappearing in that same board exam that you failed earlier is that it saves you a year in your education.

NIOS Admission 2024

There are several institutes and universities in which they ask for an affidavit to show why was there a gap between Xth and XII or what was your age when you did your class X and even ask for an affidavit to tell the reason if you are above the age when you appeared for your board exam. Even when you go for an interview with a company they look at your CV or resume very minutely checking your age when you did your X and if there is a gap between your class X and XII.So don’t take it lightly a year's loss can stop you from getting admission into your dream university/Institution or later on can make you struggle to get a job.

SS Coaching NIOS lucknow centre, is one of the most prominent coachings which deals in NIOS Admissions for students and advises students to get enrolled in the NIOS board as it carries equal importance and value like CBSE, ICSE, ISC, or any other Government board in India. The board has been approved and founded by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India through resolution (No. F.5-24/90 Sch.3 dated 14 September 1990 published in the Gazette of India on 20 October 1990). You can get admission to any university or institute after clearing your secondary or senior secondary course from NIOS.NIOS offers much flexibility to save the year and career from getting wasted in the life ahead. In N.I.O.S the admissions are going on throughout the year 24x7 days of the 365 days with exams conducted all year round. If the student has failed the board years exam(x & xii)  of CBSE, ICSE, or UP Board as well as other provincial boards, these students can be immediately enrolled in Stream 2 of Nos by providing their original failed mark sheet. There is a transfer of marks system known as Transfer of Credit (TOC) in NIOS where a maximum of 2 subjects can be transferred from other boards. To be eligible for awarding a NIOS pass certificate the student needs to appear in a minimum of 3 subjects of the NIOS course curriculum. Exams of these students are conducted in October-November and the certificate is also issued in the same year in which the student failed in the other board, thus the student year does not go to waste and is saved in the national institute of open schooling board.

There is another option that lets the students pass the board exam within 45 days of registration. This program is known as ODE (on-demand Examination). This course lets the failed student pass that very session in which he failed and lets him take admission in the graduation that very session. This acts as a boon for the failed or debarred students.

Even if you have not performed well in Class XII exams or engineering exams, it is not the end of the world. There is always a next time. The world is full of opportunities for you, you should just be ready to work hard and stretch your arms to reach for them. SS Coaching NIOS lucknow centre, will like to wish all of them Good Luck!

Parents need to be positive about the exam result of their wards and encourage children to do better, instead of instilling fear in them and making them frustrated, it's frustration that pushes children to end their life because there is still hope after it by name of NIOS Board. Many failed students from other boards set their careers back on track by getting admitted to this government-recognized NIOS Delhi board. As Board results are announced, a disturbing trend of suicides among ‘failed’ students comes into the limelight throughout the country. Although such suicides appear to be a conscious effort on the part of these students to redeem themselves of probable social stigma over their failure, the quick solution to this problem is getting them admitted to NIOS School for 10th or 12th board exam failures.

Experts feel it is only a heart-to-heart talk that parents could give their children ahead of the exams or results, telling them to “do their best and forget the rest” and there is still bright hope that could help bring a positive attitude among the children. It is surely not the end of the world and students have a long life to battle other hardships that are waiting to encounter them. This attitude can help the children look at “failure” as just a learning step towards their ultimate goal—a happy, successful life.

He says that when children do not meet the expectations of their parents of passing exams, they fear social stigma. They feel the only option is to take their own life. The parents must counsel children, impressing upon them that failing in exams does not mean the end of the world as NIOS Board brings bright hope for them. Parents and society should accept that some students do not do well and ultimately fail in Boards like CBSE, ICSE, or UP Board. But now, in rapidly expanding cities, mainly like Lucknow, Varanasi, Allahabad, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, etc the lack of such bonding results in students often putting pressure on themselves to meet their parents’ expectations.

Both parents and children alike then feel that achieving high marks is the single most important thing in life. And failure? Because of such feelings spreading through the people, students see failure as a road to social stigma and ignorance by close ones. That pushes them into a hopeless corner, from where they perceive suicide as the only way out. Children these days are delicate. If their children are not good at Board Exams, parents should tell them about other things they could be good at and support them to develop those capabilities. If children fail exams, they should bring confidence. Failing is not the end. Adults should teach children how to fight back. A mother attempting suicide or a brother taking his own life because his sister failed in the CBSE exams will only push the poor student who has failed to commit suicide.
